 EU Cookie Law Compliance

"EU Cookie Law"
In May of  2011 a new European Union law was passed that made it illegal for websites to leave non-essential cookies on visitors devices. But requires websites to let visitors know that they will receive a non-essential  and must get acceptance from the visitors.

This new EU law applies to individuals and businesses equally and is based in the EU regardless of the nationality of their website's visitors or the location of their web host.

It is not enough to simply update your website's terms and conditions or privacy policy.

The deadline to comply with the new EU cookie law was 26th May 2012. Failure to do so means website owners can be fined up to £500,000
